Three people were killed in a crash on Myrtle Road in Sarasota just after midnight Saturday.
A woman from Venice and two others from Brevard County were found dead on the scene around 12:30 a.m., according to the Sarasota Police Department.
Police determined the crash happened when the driver lost control and drove over the roundabout, through a fence, and hit a tree.
The Sarasota Police Department Traffic Unit and Criminalistics Unit responded to the accident scene early Sunday morning.
Police said they believe speed was a factor and are awaiting toxicology results.
