A dump truck driver killed a St. Petersburg man Friday morning, St. Petersburg Police said.
The 54-year-old St. Petersburg man died in the collision at 6:35 a.m. as he crossed 28th Street N from east to west near 102nd Avenue.
Traffic in both directions on 28th Street N was diverted for several hours. The dump truck driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with officers.
