ST. PETERSBURG – A dump truck driver struck and killed a 37-year-old St. Petersburg woman who stepped out into the street Monday morning on Interstate 275, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The collision happened around 9:20 a.m. near the 26th Avenue South exit.
The truck driver, a 57-year-old Tampa man, was headed north on I-275 when the woman stepped in front of him.
Their names were not released.
