Clearwater Woman Was Killed Crossing U.S. 19

A 47-year-old Clearwater woman was killed while crossing U.S. Highway 19 in Pinellas County on Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A 69-year-old Palm Harbor man was driving a pickup truck near Cyprus Drive around 7:19 p.m. when the woman walked across the road and, the man’s vehicle struck her, troopers said.

The woman died at the scene.

The Florida Highway Patrol did not name the driver or the pedestrian.
