A 31-year-old Bradenton man was hit and killed by a car while walking across an intersection along U.S. 301 in Manatee County on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
The fatal crash happened at 10:23 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 301 and 15th Street East.
A Bradenton man driving a sedan was traveling southbound in the left lane of U.S. 301 and hit the pedestrian as he crossed the highway intersection.
The Bradenton man died at the scene. Traffic investigators are determining whether the man was in the crosswalk at the time of the crash or not.
A 37-year-old Bradenton man was driving the sedan, and a 37-year-old woman and 15-year-old girl, also from Bradenton, were in the passenger seats. All three occupants sustained minor injuries, FHP said.
