Clearwater Bicyclist was Killed on Belleair Road

An 84-year-old Clearwater bicyclist was killed after a collision in Pinellas County early Tuesday July 19, 2022, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The Clearwater man was biking south on South Myrtle Avenue when he crossed the Belleair Road intersection around 8:25 a.m.

According to troopers, the bicyclist “failed to stop at a stop sign” at the intersection and was struck by the driver of a sedan that was heading east on Belleair Road.
