Travel was shut down for hours between 118th avenue and 122nd avenue on 44th street for the investigation of a pedestrian accident that happened on Wednesday morning. Pinellas Park Police Department ran this investigation on the accident that left a pedestrian in critical condition.
The accident happened when Jeffery Fountain failed to see 24-year-old Jenna Hopkins crossing the street and hit her with his 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This vehicle was a client’s of the mechanic shop where he works. He was on the scene and cooperative with the investigation. Though they do not suspect impairment, the investigation is still ongoing.
