On Friday morning in St. Petersburg, Florida, police shot and killed a dog that had severely hurt a woman. The dog also bit a responding officer. The police say they shot and killed the animal to prevent it from attacking yet again.
This incident happened early Friday morning at 7:40 AM on the 800 block of 93rd Ave. N. The woman who suffered severe injuries was a 67-year-old woman who was bitten several times by the dog.
Both the woman who was attacked and the officer who was bit at the incident went to the hospital. There is an investigation ongoing since Friday morning with no more details having been released.
