
A St. Petersburg man died in a chain-reaction crash involving six vehicles Tuesday, July 9, 2022, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at 2:25 p.m. near 102nd Avenue and 97th Street in Seminole.
Police said a 55-year-old St. Petersburg man either slowed down or failed to stop and crashed into the back of an SUV.
The collision caused six other vehicles to become involved.
The 55-year-old man died at the scene of the crash. Two other people, a 46-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man, went to a local hospital with minor injuries.
