Semi-truck Collision on I-75 Injures Six

At least six people are injured after a semi-truck collision on I-75 led to multiple vehicles hit in traffic on Tuesday, July 13, 2022.

The crash happened around 10:22 a.m., the Florida Highway Patrol said.

This multi-car crash involved six cars and a semi-truck.

The semi-truck failed to stop and hit the rear of a pickup truck, shoving it into the back of a Ford SUV, causing the six vehicles lined up in traffic to collide.

All six drivers suffered injuries, according to the FHP. The driver of the semi-truck, a 34-year-old St. Petersburg man, suffered minor injuries. The pickup truck driver sustained serious injuries, too.

Charges will be pending until the completion of the crash investigation, the FHP said.
