Ruskin Bicyclist Hit, Killed by Car, Police Say

A 30-year-old cyclist died at the scene after being hit by a car in Ruskin, Christmas Eve.

Around 7:50 p.m., the 28-year-old driver of a sedan was headed east on College Avenue near 18th Street when the driver approached a bicycle traveling in the same direction.

The cyclist died at the scene after being struck by the sedan. The driver of the sedan was uninjured.

Police have not released the driver’s name or the victim.
