Q&A with Attorney Tim Perenich

Q&A with Attorney Tim Perenich

Perenich Law Injury Attorneys’ Digital Marketing Specialist, Chris Schneider, interviewed Attorney Tim Perenich for a Q&A to discuss his new role as Managing Partner at Perenich Law Injury Attorneys. Timothy, Gregory, and Terence — all three partners at Perenich Law — take turns as Managing Partner of their firm.

Here is the Q&A with Managing Partner Timothy Perenich:

Q: What drew you to personal injury law?

A: My father, Guy Perenich, was the first personal injury lawyer in the Tampa Bay area, and he would invite me to court hearings and depositions. I worked in his office during high school and summer breaks from college and law school, and this experience gave me the opportunity to see firsthand how a successful personal injury law firm operated. He ran his practice very well, and that inspired me.

Q: What are some key attributes of a successful managing partner?

A: To be a successful managing partner, you have to have good organization, perseverance, and the ability to think outside the box. In other words, be very problem-solving orientated.

Q: What advice would you give to a personal injury attorney that recently started their own practice?

A: I would say work on the business as much as you work in it. In other words, focus on advertising and word-of-mouth marketing to grow the practice, all while creating and maintaining strong client relationships. Devote twice as much time working on the business as you think you need to, and develop systems to increase efficiency in your practice.

Q: In your opinion, what are the biggest challenges facing managing partners today?

A: A big one is attracting and retaining qualified & reliable staff. I think we do a great job in that, as well as keeping up with advancing technology to maximize the efficiency in the office.

Q: What does personal injury law look like in Florida in the next five years?

A: Injury law looks very different in the next five years than today. Generally, lawyers will be more selective about the cases they take in due to the recent Florida law change. I think more lawyers will need to go to trial to obtain reasonable settlements than we’re seeing today.

Q: When did you and your brothers start Perenich Law Injury Attorneys? Whose idea was it to form the 3BrothersHelpingOthers?

A: My brother Greg and I partnered in 2005, and collectively, we decided to become an injury law firm when my brother Terence joined us. Greg came up with the ‘3BrothersHelpingOthers’ slogan, and my brother Terence and I loved the catchiness of it so much that it kind of just stuck with us ever since.

Q: What do you think sets Perenich Law Injury Attorneys apart from other local PI firms?

A: We’re family-oriented. I think we generally care more about our clients than most other lawyers. We have a proven record of obtaining higher verdicts and settlements than most other firms for any given case, generally. And I think we’re great at communicating with our clients.

Chris: Thank you for your time today Tim, that’s all the questions I have.

Tim: Thank you Chris, I enjoyed it!
