On Saturday, February 1, at 11:35 PM, a multiple fatality car crash occurred at the intersection of US-19 and Tampa Road in Palm Harbor. A 2013 Buick Lacrosse was travelling down US-19 at a very high rate of speed, according to one witness, when it ran through a red light and crashed into a 2010 Nissan Versa that was making a left-hand turn. All three occupants of the Nissan suffered fatal injuries. The two occupants of the Buick, described by police as white males, fled the scene on foot. An investigation is currently underway.
