Motorcyclist Killed at a Dunedin Intersection

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) is investigating a motorcyclist killed at a Dunedin Intersection that occurred on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. The crash happened about 5:45 p.m., at the intersection of County Road 1 and Michigan Boulevard.

According to investigators, 58-year-old Cynthia Janssen was traveling northbound on County Road 1 in a black 2013 Mercedes SUV. A 2019 Kawasaki motorcycle, driven by a 49-year-old Bryan Rogers, was traveling southbound in the right lane of County Road 1. Investigators say the vehicles collided as Janssen made a left turn to head westbound on Michigan Boulevard.

Rodgers was pronounced dead at the scene. Janssen sustained no injuries. According to investigators, speed and impairment were not factors in this accident.
