The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating a motorcycle crash on Gandy Boulevard on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 9:25 a.m.
A 27-year-old man was driving a Honda CBR1000RR motorcycle eastbound on Gandy Boulevard North in the median lane.
The man drifted off the road, smashed into the guardrail, then continued eastbound on the shoulder for several hundred feet. The man was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered serious injuries.
The motorcycle rider died from his injuries on August 14, 2022.
