Alachua County, FL (February 22, 2020) – A woman was killed Saturday evening after she fell out of a moving truck and was run over on Interstate 75. Her boyfriend was arrested later that day and faces charges of leaving the scene involving a death.
According to witnesses, the incident occurred northwest of Gainesville at approximately 5 PM on the southbound side of I-75 near the exit to U.S. 441 near Alachua. Witnesses saw a black Ford pickup truck swerving onto the grass shoulder of the highway with a woman hanging out of the passenger door. She was dragged several hundred feet before she fell out and was run over by the vehicle.
