Choosing a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Attorney

Handle Chapter 13 Debt Before It's Too Late

I would say one of the best considerations any prospective client can make is taking a careful look at whether they have the right attorney. Not all attorneys are equal. Experience matters. We’ve been representing bankruptcy clients for about 30 years throughout the state of Florida. We have tremendous experience in Chapter 13. We provide a free consultation in which we determine whether Chapter 13 is even the right solution for the client. If you have questions, pick up the phone and give us a call. We’re happy to sit down and chat.

Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Timeline

When I meet with a client who’s considering Chapter 13, one of the questions that often comes up is how long it will take. A Chapter 13 entails a monthly payment plan, and it typically lasts for 60 months. If the debtor’s income is below a certain threshold, their plan can go as short as 36 months or three years. You are typically looking at 60 months or five years, and it requires that the debtor commit their disposable income toward the payment of a Chapter 13 case to satisfy unsecured creditors.

We’ve been representing Chapter 13 creditors throughout the state of Florida for the last 30 years. I provide a free consultation, and we are happy to help.

Filing Chapter 13 Bankruptcy

Once in a while, a client will ask how they go about filing a Chapter 13 case. The answer is to pick up the phone and give us a call. We’re happy to meet with you to talk about your situation and determine whether Chapter 13 is right for you. If it is, we can talk about what that entails and what you can expect. Give us a call. We provide a free consultation, and we’ve been representing clients throughout the state of Florida in bankruptcy for the last 30 years.

Who Should File Chapter 13

Not everybody should file for Chapter 13 just because they think that they have a lot of debt. That question comes up every once in a while when I provide an initial consultation with a client. Which chapter to file and whether to file are very serious questions that should be considered well in advance of the actual filing of the case. We’ve been representing bankruptcy clients in Chapter 13 throughout the state of Florida for the last 30 years. We provide a free consultation. We will sit down with you and carefully go through your finances to see whether Chapter 13 is right for you.
