A fatal accident took place May 20th, 2021 early in the morning. At around 4:30am, a vehicle collided with a parked car and passengers standing near the vehicle.
The driver ended up causing injuries to the passengers of an Infiniti who had pulled over after running out of gas non-life threatening and critical injuries. The Infiniti was being driven by a 20-year old man and he tried to tell the other passengers that he saw someone driving in a way that looked like they were drunk but the vehicle ended up killing a 15-year-old girl. The crash also ended up injuring another passenger who was pinned up against the guardrail by the vehicle as well as a girl who was sitting in the car who got minor injuries.
The driver who caused the crash was a 28-year-old man in a Honda who did not suffer any injuries. He stayed at the scene of the crash and was taken to Hillsborough County Jail and charged with DUI manslaughter.
