Deputies: DCF Employee Charged in Hit-And-Run Bonds Out of Jail

Tampa Hit and Run AccidentTampa, FL (February 1, 2020) – A 24-year-old woman arrested in a Tampa hit and run accident has been released on bond, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. The woman was driving an SUV when she crashed into a 14-year-old girl crossing the street on Thursday night. The crash occurred at East 122nd Avenue and North 15th Street.

The driver, who is an employee for the Department of Children and Families, was charged with leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury. Authorities say that the driver got out of her car following the accident, but she did not give any type of aid to the victim before leaving the accident scene. The teen girl is listed in critical condition at Tampa General Hospital.
