Coast Guard Rescued an Injured Woman from Boat

ST. PETE BEACH, Fla – The U.S. Coast Guard rescued an injured woman from a boat Monday afternoon near the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

The U.S. Coast Guard of St. Petersburg sent out a team in two small boats at about 12:30 p.m. Monday to help a woman who sustained injuries near the Sunshine Skyway Bridge with a head and back injury.

The woman was transferred onto a Coast Guard boat to take her to a waiting ambulance. Once in the ambulance, she was able to receive proper medical care.
