Pedestrian Died at 15th Street East

A pedestrian died at 15th Street East and 55th Avenue Drive East early Tuesday morning in South Bradenton, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened before 5:30 a.m. as the man was driving south on 15th Street East, approaching 57th Avenue East. A 42-year-old man from Pembroke Pines was walking on a dark roadway without wearing any reflective gear.

The driver hit the pedestrian with his sedan. The pedestrian died at the scene, troopers say.
