As reported by the Florida Highway Patrol, there was a lethal hit and run committed by a driver who is suspected to have been driving under the influence. They hit and killed a 59-year-old man on his bicycle riding near 118th Ave N and 40th St N in St. Petersburg. The accident occurred when both the bicyclist and the driver of the vehicle were heading east on 118th Ave N. They were in the inside lane. The bicyclist ended up moving in front of the car and getting hit from the back by the driver of the vehicle. Unfortunately the 59-year-old man on his bicycle died on the scene.
