Deadly Crash on Central Avenue in St. Petersburg

The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating a crash on Central Avenue that happened late Wednesday night.

Police said the accident happened at Central Avenue and 54th Street when a pickup truck with four people inside crashed into a tree.

One person died at the scene, and the other three suffered life-threatening injuries.

Police identified the person who passed away as William Harris, 52, of St. Petersburg, and said he was the passenger in the truck
