On Thursday, a child was struck in a hit-and-run in Wimauma and survived with minor injuries. A representative of the Sheriff’s Office in Hillsborough County made a statement that this accident happened in the morning hours on West Lake Drive and Bishop Road. This child was taken to the local emergency room for treatment of their minor injuries and the deputies are still looking for the person responsible for the hit-and-run.
