An accident in Brooksville has led to the death of a 16-year-old girl. A 17-year-old girl was driving the vehicle and while they were on US 41 coming onto Lakeside Drive she missed the curve and hit a tree. The 16-year-old passenger sadly died of her injuries and the driver was seriously injured. The incident happened Tuesday afternoon according to the highway patrol. No names have been released to the public in accordance of Marsy’s Law which is meant to protect victims and withhold info from the public.
