Bicyclist on Interstate 75 Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver

A hit-and-run driver struck a bicyclist on Interstate 75 early Wednesday morning in Manatee County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers say the bicyclist, a 32-year-old man from Miami, was traveling north on I-75 around 2:30 a.m. when he was hit by a vehicle that didn’t stop. He was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries.

The vehicle, is described as possibly dark gray or black and most likely has passenger side and side mirror damage.
