A bicyclist was critically injured Tuesday night after a hit-and-run crash on N. Lockwood Ridge Road.
The crash occurred about 10 p.m. Tuesday, Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office said. A light-colored vehicle traveling northbound on Lockwood Ridge Road struck the bicyclist, then continued without stopping to investigate.
The cyclist was riding in the bike lane when the vehicle hit him, the Florida Highway Patrol reported. The 29-year-old Sarasota man was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
