Timothy B. Perenich is a founding partner of Perenich Law and a steadfast advocate for individuals whose lives have been upended by serious injury. Born and raised in Clearwater, Tim grew up watching his father, Guy Perenich—the first attorney in Tampa Bay to devote his practice exclusively to representing the injured—fight for clients who had nowhere else to turn. That legacy of service shaped Tim’s calling and continues to guide the firm’s mission today.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Tim earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and received the distinction of Notre Dame Scholar before returning to Florida to pursue his Juris Doctor at the University of Florida College of Law. There, he distinguished himself through academic excellence, earning the Book Award in Jurisprudence, joining the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity, and serving in a judicial clerkship with the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County.
Tim began his legal career as a sole practitioner, representing injured clients throughout Florida for nearly a decade before joining his brother Greg in 2005 to form what would become Perenich Law. Their brother Terence joined them in 2009, solidifying the firm’s identity as “Three Brothers Helping Others”—a reflection of their shared commitment to justice, compassion, and ethical advocacy.
For more than 30 years, Tim has focused his practice on representing individuals harmed by the negligence of others, handling cases involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and other life altering losses. He is admitted to practice in all three federal districts in Florida and is an active member of the Florida Justice Association, the Clearwater Bar Association, and the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association.
Tim’s dedication to his clients has earned him numerous distinctions, including the Client Distinction Award from Lawyers.com for excellence in communication, responsiveness, and overall service. He holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell—the highest possible ranking for legal ability and ethical standards—and has been recognized among Florida’s Legal Elite and selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers, honors reserved for attorneys who demonstrate exceptional professionalism, integrity, and peer acknowledged achievement. Tim has also attained membership in the distinguished Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an honor that demonstrates his dedicated service to his clients.
Outside of the firm, Tim remains deeply connected to the passions that have shaped him since childhood. A lifelong musician, he sings in an a cappella quartet and enjoys performing everything from Barbershop harmonies to Gregorian chant. He is also an accomplished pianist and trumpeter and is conversant in Italian. Tim lives in Tampa with his wife, Audra, and their three children, and continues to carry forward the Perenich family legacy of service, faith, and unwavering commitment to those in need.
