Pedestrian Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on U.S. 301

TAMPA, Fla. – A pedestrian died after a hit-and-run driver on U.S. 301 struck and killed them, said police.

The accident occurred after 1 a.m. near U.S 301 and 60th Avenue East.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the 30-year-old Coral Springs man tried crossing the highway, and a vehicle struck him.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

Anyone with information regarding the crash is to contact the Florida Highway Patrol.
