Terence A. Perenich is a founding partner of Perenich Law Injury Attorneys and a steadfast advocate for individuals and families seeking truth, accountability, and justice. A Clearwater native raised in Tarpon Springs, Terence’s belief in the power of the courtroom was shaped by a lifelong conviction that the law exists to level the playing field—ensuring that the rich, powerful, and well connected are held to the same standards as everyone else. That conviction continues to define his work and the firm’s mission today.
“The powerful don’t want the truth to prevail if it means accountability and fairness that hurts the ‘bottom-line.’ But the courtroom is not the boardroom. People on a jury want to do what’s right and my job is to give them the facts and information that help them arrive at a sound verdict; a verdict that isn’t influenced by the levers of the well-connected.”
For more than 30 years, Terence has represented clients in complex and high stakes cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, insurance disputes, medical malpractice, and nursing home negligence. His results reflect a career built on persistence, principled advocacy, and deep respect for the jury system. Among his many successes, Terence secured a recovery well over one million dollars after extensive litigation—an outcome achieved despite an initial offer of just over $3,500. Victories like this underscore his belief that truth emerges through the rules of evidence, not through the influence of corporations, politicians, or those driven solely by the bottom line.
Terence began his career as an Assistant State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, trying cases that sharpened his courtroom instincts and reinforced his commitment to ethical, client centered advocacy. He later developed a broad litigation background in private practice, representing clients in both state and federal courts in civil and criminal matters. In 1999, after trying more than 40 jury trials, he founded Perenich Law, Professional Association. He went on to join his father’s firm, Perenich Carroll, exclusively representing the wrongfully injured, before partnering with his brothers, Greg and Tim, in 2009 to build what is now Perenich Law Injury Attorneys.
His dedication to the profession has earned him recognition from peers, including Martindale Hubbell’s Distinguished Rating. A longtime member of the Florida Justice Association, Terence achieved Eagle Member status in 2024—reflecting his commitment to strengthening civil justice protections for Floridians.
Terence is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a degree in Philosophy from the College of Arts and Letters. He received his law degree from Stetson University College of Law, where he also completed the Federal Judicial Internship Program under United States District Court Judge Elizabeth Kovachevich. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1992.
Beyond the courtroom, Terence is deeply involved in his community. He serves as president of his homeowners’ association, is an active member of the Korean Cultural Association, and is devoted to the life he shares with his wife, Terry, their two children, Lexie and Finn, and their dog, Chewie. The family enjoys tennis, golf, boating, and downhill snow skiing—activities that reflect their love of the outdoors and time spent together.
